The Bluegrass Parlor has hosted a Jam session nearly every Thursday evening for the past 25 years. We have had big stars stop in and we have had the newest beginner to the music stop by and we welcome all with open ears. We play music from 8 to 10 pm every Thursday evening with the exception of a major holiday.

Here is the list of 2007 IBMA Award winners. This year had a bunch of surprises bringing some new faces to the picture. I thought they were all good choices and it is good to see some different winners in some of these categories for a change. Here is the list directly from the IBMA website.

Just wanted to give everyone an update on our weekly Thursday evening Jam session. We are now holding the jam at the Tranquilo Coffee Shop, on 30th street. So far the response has been great and everyone seems to really like the new location.

Randy Kohrs Dobro Workshop

On December 3rd, 2005 we were fortunate enough to host a dobro

workshop with Randy Kohrs. He was in town performing at Skippers

Smokehouse at a WMNF concert along with Jim Lauderdale and the

BLuegrass Parlor Band. He stopped by the store and did a 4 hour

workshop on that saturday and we had a great turnout of dobro

players for the event.
